Fill deep pan with 3 cups of water. Fill reusable bag 1/2 full with Chai pull strings tight and tie in a bow ( no knots, hard to untie and reuse)
Put Chai into water and bring to a nice rolling boil for 20minutes. Reduce heat to simmer for 20 minutes.
* optional 1/2 cup dark brown sugar, or sugar, honey, agave, or any other sweet thing you want
Add 5 cups of vanilla almond milk and continue to simmer for 30 minutes
The longer the bag sits in the mix the stronger and richer it will become as the spices break down. It is traditionally made with milk. I prefer vanilla almond milk, soy milk, or any milk alternatives you like.
